Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance

A Distinct Identity

Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. Unfortunately they have a 3 week hold time but so far all adoptable animals have been saved! We also help families in Mason County Texas who are no longer able to care for their animals by finding new and loving homes. Please consider donating your time or money to the animals of Mason County Texas.

Our rescue efforts rely on generous donations from people like yourself.  All donations are tax deductible.  The money we raise goes towards the medical expenses and care of the dogs and cats we rescue.

Romeo

Undergoing Heartworm Treatment

This sweet boy unfortunately came back as heartworm positive at his first vet visit. This disease is much easier to  treat these days although it is quite expensive. Not to worry, we are treating this kind soul. If you can and would like to help by giving a donation that would be super! He will be available for adoption as soon as he is all fixed up.

Brutus

Lab mix

Meet Brutus!
This is one cute puppy at about 8 months old. He has lots to learn but with some treats he will be perfect in no time! Brutus is an owner relinquish because he is getting too big for the 25 pound apartment weight limit so his owner sadly had to re-home him. We are looking for the perfect family for this fun and active young boy! Is that you?

Mia

Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix

Mia is a very calm young girl. We think she is a Catahoula mix with her fabulous markings. She loves other dogs and is very submissive as she greets a new friend. Mia was picked up by our local pound and now she is in the safe hands of Second Chance Mason Animal Rescue. She seems to have been in a home because she sure goes straight for the sofa. If this is not ok with you, she will nicely get down! Mia weighs about 43 pounds and has been spayed, up to date on immunizations,  heart worm negative and on preventative! She is super eager to meet her new family and she is sure to be a super companion to both furry and human family members! Mia can be found in Mason Texas. Contact us to find out more about Mia.
