Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance

A Distinct Identity

Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. From the beginning, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely with our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. So far all adoptable animals have been saved! Please consider volunteering your time or donating much needed funds to the animals of Mason County Texas, they need you!

Haus

Lab Mix

Haus is a young boy who is lots of fun to be around. He is about 3 and he knows some basic commands. Haus is very treat motivated so more training should be a breeze. His family moved away and could not take Haus or his dad Trigger along so they are looking for a new place to call home. Would you like to meet this handsome fellow?

Trigger

Catahoula

What cool eyes this fellow has! Meet Trigger. He came into our local pound with his son Haus, now he is with Second Chance. His owners had to move and could not take he and Haus along. Trigger is about 5 with a friendly disposition. He does need to be in a house without cats and chickens but he is super with other dogs. Trigger is food motivated which is always a good thing! Would you like to meet Trigger?!

Dottie's Video

Boxer Mix

Meet Darling Dottie!

It seems sweet Dottie may have been dumped. She was running around Mason, Texas for several days until our local pound picked her up. We think she is about 5 years old. Dottie is a little timid at first, but warms up quickly.  Dottie will make a wonderful companion dog. Watch her video and  interactions with one of her volunteer walkers.

Unfortunately, upon completing her vet work we found she is Heartworm positive. All treatment expenses will paid for by Second Chance.

Dottie deserves a good life. Perhaps a foster home to help her through heartworm treatment. OR better yet, a forever home.

Maybe you would like to help with her vet expenses? Simply click on the Second Chance donate button and reference Dottie.
