Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance

A Distinct Identity

Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. From the beginning, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely with our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. So far all adoptable animals have been saved! Please consider volunteering your time or donating much needed funds to the animals of Mason County Texas, they need you!

Our rescue efforts rely on generous donations from people like yourself.  All donations are tax deductible.  The money we raise goes towards the medical expenses and care of the dogs and cats we rescue.

Waffles

Shepherd Mix

This fun young girl is an owner relinquish and recently rescued from the Mason City Pound. She is super friendly and simply loves her friend who came in with her, Chico. We would be most happy if they could find a home together! They are both just beginning their vet work and we are currently taking applications for these two. They are medium dogs who love treats!! Waffles is a little timid at first but is very attentive to her people. She already knows sit! We would love to introduce you! Waffles is such a cutie. And just look at that awesome brindle coat!

Juno

Husky Mix

Juno is one fun and goofy boy! He is super lovable and affectionate so training him to do all of the things he has not learned yet should be fun. Right now Juno does not seem to have had much training in his previous life. We think Juno is under 1.  Juno has big ole feet and a skinny body like a lanky teenager with growing to do! He has one blue eye and the other is half blue and half brown. He is energetic and will make someone a super play partner. Juno loves people and other dogs! You can find this fun fellow in Mason Texas!

Corrie Cupcake

American Staffordshire Terrier/Mix

Meet Corrie-Cupcake!

Corrie came to Second Chance from the local pound with only one day to spare. Since then we have learned so much about her.

Corrie is friendly, affectionate, and funny. She is great on a leash, and rides in a car like she made the car payment herself. She does well inside the home and loves doggie doors. She is the best mixture of playful and chilled. She is athletic. She is very attuned to what those around her want. She is very loyal. In short, Corrie could be someone’s very best buddy or a wonderful family dog.

Corrie-Cupcake is a mixed breed. She could be part Pit and Labrador. One of our volunteers thinks she is a mixture of  American Staffy and Labrador. But whatever her heritage is, she is special.

Corrie is about 3-4 years old, weighs 59 pounds, is spayed, current on immunizations, heartworm negative, and currently on preventative.  She has a small white dot on the back of her neck and a super big smile.
