Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance
A Distinct Identity
Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. From the beginning, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely with our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. So far all adoptable animals have been saved! Please consider volunteering your time or donating much needed funds to the animals of Mason County Texas, they need you!

Howie
Black Mouth Curr/Hound Mix
Howie is not what anyone would call “cute” – he is handsome. In a dignified way. And when he gives you his big smile…you can’t help but smile back. His favorite thing (other than chewies) is walking with his human. Howie doesn’t react to rude barking dogs (he doesn’t take the bait because he is chilled) He simply keeps walking, demonstrating his calm personality. Howie listens. He is affectionate, but not needy. He is a buddy. A companion. Howie is a very Texas dog. He is black mouth cur, about 6 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm negative. If you think you might be a match for Howie, contact Second Chance Mason Animal Rescue
Simon
Mixed Breed
Here is a great new friend for just about any loving family! Simon is about 2 and he has some pearly white teeth! He has a nice calm personality. Simon loves to sprawl out in the grass and enjoy the comings and goings of the world and oh yes, we must have a stick or two! Belly rubs and hugs are pretty important to this guy as well! Simon is all set for his new home, having all of his vet work completed and on heart worm preventative. Simon is located in Mason Texas.
Happy Tails!
Lucky
ADOPTED!
Lucky was at our local pound and scheduled to be euthanized, but fortunately we were able to pull him in time, and he is now safe and sound. Lucky had a terrible case of hookworms, but he now has a clean bill of health! We estimate him to be between 6-8 weeks old.
He is very friendly and affectionate puppy who loves to have plenty of play time but also enjoys just hanging out with people and other dogs. He is a good looking boy with a winning personality! Looking for a great family companion? You could make Lucky’s day!
Sarabi
ADOPTED!
Belgian Malanois
Sarabi is a beautiful Belgian Malanois dog who is super lovable and it seems not so interested in the working life she was intended for, so she is looking for a new home! Along with her beauty, Sarabi is fantastic on a leash having had extensive training in this area. She also LOVES to play ball, treat motivated and wonderfully athletic. Sarabi is ready to find a new home where she can run and play and spend time with her new best friend. She is energetic so she will do best with a family who loves that characteristic and wants to take her on adventures with them!
Lexi ADOPTED!
Malinois Belgian Shepherd
Lexi is a wonderful young girl, about 6 months young, who has all of the energy you would expect from a Belgian Shepherd dog! She will do best with an athletic family or one who loves to participate in dog sports. Lexi is very happy in the water splashing around. Running and jumping is what this young girl needs to thrive. Lexi is smart and will be a fast learner. This breed is known for being a working dog and used often in tactical training! For the proper fit family she will be a super star addition loaded with fun energy.
