Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance
A Distinct Identity
Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. From the beginning, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely with our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. So far all adoptable animals have been saved! Please consider volunteering your time or donating much needed funds to the animals of Mason County Texas, they need you!

Available For Adoption
Toby
Terrier Mix
Toby is thought to have been dumped at one of our local parks where Mason animal control picked him up. We are happy to say he is now safe and sound with Second Chance and ready to find his forever home. Toby is super friendly and loves to give kisses. He is a medium size mix breed who is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and heart worm negative. Toby knows some basic commands like sit and down. He walks well on a leash and LOVES treats. Food motivation will make continued training easy with him! We estimate Toby’s age to be between 1-2 years old. He weighs about 37 lbs and thinks he should be a lap dog! Toby is ready to meet you!

Wes
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Wes, The Big-Hearted Buddy
This young boy, about 2-1/2. Wes is current on his vaccinations, neutered, and heart-worm negative.
He loves car rides and is happy to sit to check out the sights from the back window. Wes is an avid walking companion and a favorite with Second Chance volunteer walkers.
People who have met Wes comment on how easy-going he is.
Wes knows basic commands. He recently participated in a 2-hour dog training clinic where he was extremely well-behaved and demonstrated his natural ability to learn new skills.
Smart. Friendly. Easy-going. Good-natured and good-looking. Motivated to please. And ready to bond. He is happy to be with his human and will be someone’s forever loyal buddy.

Oogie
Meet Oogie! This good looking guy is a 6 year old Blue Lacy who is in need of a new home. His owner was no longer able to keep him due to failing health. Oogie is very smart and very energetic. Oogie loves to swim and the great outdoors is his wonderland! He is a dog that would love to have a job to do, or be in a very active home. He gets along well with dogs his own size or larger, but he likes to chase kitties and small dogs. Oogie is great around kids, but due to his high energy he would be best with older ones.
He is friendly and outgoing and would really thrive in home who enjoyed lots of physical activity that he could be a part of. Oogie is neutered, heart worm negative and up to date on his vaccinations. Contact Second Chance if you are interested in learning more about adopting Oogie!
