A Distinct Identity
Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue.

Are you ready for a bit of Friday night cuteness? Meet Ryker! Ryker is one of our latest rescues from our local pound. We estimate his age to be about 10 weeks old and weighs 31.7 pounds! He is a friendly, affectionate bundle of puppiness and he is needing a foster or forever home! Cattle Dog mix
Dixie is spayed, immunized, heartworm negative, and on heartworm preventative. She is full-grown and weighs about 60 lbs at about 2 years old. She is a real sweetie pie.
Here is what her foster “mom” says about Dixie.
“Dixie is more interesting than most dogs -- she learns extremely fast and enjoys the attention. Dixie Girl is a wonderful dog who I believe, with the right home, will blossom into a truly remarkable companion.”
Whose that pretty kitty!!! Meet Lily. Lily is a 4 1/2 year old bundle of squishy fluffiness :-) Lily is a purring machine whose activities include eating, sleeping and the occasional speed waddle down the hallway! She loves to be brushed, and unlike most cats really enjoys belly rubs. Lily is spayed and current on her vaccinations. She will need to be an INDOOR only home.
Kittens get all the attention, but Taz thinks she is just as cute as those little fur balls! Taz is a 4 1/2 year old female who loves attention. She can be a little shy at first, but once she knows you she wants to be your constant companion. Taz is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has been an indoor cat only, and therefore needs the same in her forever home.
Punkyduddle and Pussy-Anna are two sweet adult cats needing to find a new home. Their current owner is 91 and having to move, and unfortunately, she cannot take her kitties with her. These two are brother and sister, and about 4 years old. They have been spayed & neutered. Both can be very shy, but once they get to know you they both love to be pet. They are used to being indoor / outdoor cats.
If you or someone you know is interested you can contact their owner directly (Jean at 325-338-4094). Thank you for passing on their info and helping them find a new home!
This cool dude has been Adopted!!

After over 2 years searching for his forever home, now Kevin has been ADOPTED! We are so happy for him! He lives in the Texas Hill Country with his new furr brother and they are getting along fabulously!
This sweet girl has been adopted and is living in Mason Texas with her new furry friend, and of course humans too!
Thank you to everyone who helped Mollie recover from her heart worm treatment! Mostly her foster home!
