Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue at a Glance
A Distinct Identity
Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Animal Rescue Service realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Second Chance - Mason Animal Rescue. We work closely our local City Pound to save animals from euthanasia. Unfortunately they have a 3 week hold time but so far all adoptable animals have been saved! We also help families in Mason County Texas who are no longer able to care for their animals by finding new and loving homes. Please consider donating your time or money to the animals of Mason County Texas.
Donate Today
Our rescue efforts rely on generous donations from people like yourself. All donations are tax deductible. The money we raise goes towards the medical expenses and care of the dogs and cats we rescue.

AJAX
Border Collie/Mix
Ajax is a male thought to be a Border Collie/mix. We guess 2 to 3 years old. He showed up at a country home and there is not any history to go by. Ajax is in foster in Fredericksburg and his foster has given us a super update! This boy is not high energy, but he is pretty consistent and has not been worn out yet while at the local dog park. He primarily enjoys sniffing and checking out his environment rather than running around too much. Ajax is pretty good with other dogs. He will “run with the pack” for a while. He is fabulous in the crate! Ajax sleeps through the night and does not even bark when his fosters come down in the morning. Ajax is affectionate and will nicely go up to strangers. He has been trained to come up to you and sit. He has had very little other training, it seems. Ajax is not a barker and that is always a nice thing! The perfect situation for Ajax might be someone who likes an affectionate dog that can offer plenty of outside room to roam, probably with a companion dog or two. Does he sound like a good fit for your family? If so, contact Second Chance Mason Animal Rescue in Mason Texas! 325-347-6929

Lily
Whose that pretty kitty!!! Meet Lily. Lily is a 4 1/2 year old bundle of squishy fluffiness :-) Lily is a purring machine whose activities include eating, sleeping and the occasional speed waddle down the hallway! She loves to be brushed, and unlike most cats really enjoys belly rubs. Lily is spayed and current on her vaccinations. She will need to be an INDOOR only home.

TAZ
Kittens get all the attention, but Taz thinks she is just as cute as those little fur balls! Taz is a 4 1/2 year old female who loves attention. She can be a little shy at first, but once she knows you she wants to be your constant companion. Taz is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has been an indoor cat only, and therefore needs the same in her forever home.

Punkyduddle and Pussy-Anna are two sweet adult cats needing to find a new home. Their current owner is 91 and having to move, and unfortunately, she cannot take her kitties with her. These two are brother and sister, and about 4 years old. They have been spayed & neutered. Both can be very shy, but once they get to know you they both love to be pet. They are used to being indoor / outdoor cats.
If you or someone you know is interested you can contact their owner directly (Jean at 325-338-4094). Thank you for passing on their info and helping them find a new home!
